The Importance of Accreditation
As a Paragon patient going to our AIUM-accredited practice for an ultrasound examination, you can be sure that:
- Our sonographers and physicians in the practice have documented training and experience in ultrasound and have the appropriate credentials for the field. Also, the sonographers and physicians continue to receive ongoing medical education in their specialty.
- Actual cases and reports have been reviewed by the AIUM and show that the performance and the interpretation of ultrasound examinations offered by Paragon meet or exceed nationally accepted standards.
- Policies are in place to ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and prevent transmission of infectious disease.
- Our ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- There are complete records of every ultrasound examination and these are available for easy retrieval and review. Our records are stored for a length of time that meets or exceeds state-mandated minimums.
- We have adequate space for patient privacy and comfort.
