Our doctors are the first general gynecologists in Akron to perform surgery using the innovative da Vinci® Surgical System and remain the only certified general gynecology group in Akron, Ohio. Our surgeons have also performed more surgeries using the da Vinci® Surgical System than any other group in North East Ohio.
Our physicians also take pride in being the only group in Northeast Ohio to be involved with physician-led case observations. Surgeons from around the country come to Akron to learn the latest techniques from our trained surgeons.
Abdominal Surgery Virtually Eliminated
Using the da Vinci® Surgical System, our doctors can treat a number of gynecologic conditions including uterine fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, uterine prolapse, and menorrhagia or excessive bleeding.
Our trained doctors perform over 98% of their hysterectomies and myomectomies using the da Vinci Surgical System, including women with multiple abdominal surgeries, prior Caesarian sections, endometriosis, and those with an enlarged uterus. Currently, they have not had to convert any robotic assisted surgeries to a conventional abdominal approach.
Even if your doctor has recommended an abdominal surgery, you may still be a candidate for da Vinci surgery.
A da Vinci hysterectomy or myomectomy may result in less scarring, less pain, less blood loss, and a faster recovery than traditional surgical methods.
